The Holiday Inn Royal Victoria offers 107 luxury 4 star bedrooms, a wide range of 16 well appointed conference/meeting rooms, a quality restaurant, lounges, bars and a health club. In fact, the Royal Victoria hotel boast one of the largest conference hotels in the north of England, hence it is ideally suited to host large and small conference and meetings.
Every meeting room benefits from natural daylight and Wi-Fi internet access, providing event organisers with very versatile facilities; to house large group presentations and meeting, to numerous breakout rooms, to Gala Dinners to celebrate successful conferences, and all this is under the same roof. Below, we have provided some brief descriptions of each of the conference/meeting rooms.
The Ballroom
Our larges meeting room is the ballroom. It is decorated in the finest taste and has been restored to all its former glory during recent restoration works. The versatile ballroom is suitable for a reception up to 600, or theatre style for 450, or 250 for classroom style to 380 for a banquet. The ballroom is the largest room in the hotel.
The Assembly Room
Interconnecting to the Ballroom is our second largest room, the Assembly room, which boasts the same elegant appearance, has a capacity for a reception up to 200 people, or theatre style for 120, or 65 for classroom style to 100 people for a banquet with its own private bar.
It offers plenty of natural daylight from its traditional tall windows and with the option of utilising the dance floor; it makes the Assembly room the perfect choice for many occasions.
Arundel Room One
This room offers elegant and professional environment for special meetings. It is ideally suited as a boardroom up to 25 people, or for classroom meeting of 24 people. An excellent feature of the Arundel Room One is that it interconnects with Arundel Room two; thus customers have the option of utilising the adjoining Arundel Room two for more specific purposes such as assessment centres or group working activities, or break out lunches. The room is light a airy, with wonderful high ceilings bringing a sense of style of yester year.
This room offers traditional splendour with modern practicality.
Arundel Room Two
This room is on a smaller scale to its adjoining room Arundel Room One. It shares the same fine décor and also has plenty of natural daylight. More compact and suitable for reception up to 30 people, or boardroom up to 10 people, the Arundel Room Two has plenty of character and when dressed accordingly, and will delight its occupants.
York Suite
The York Suite is one of our larger meeting rooms, situated on a corner of the building; it offers an abundance of natural light, boasting an impressive vista over Sheffield’s skyline and the River Don. The York Suite has many purposes but is ideally suited as a meeting room for 45 people theatre style or a board meeting for 25 people or a reception gathering of up to 65 people.
Great Central Room
Named after the heritage of the hotel and its locomotive past, this room is a multipurpose room suitable for large meetings or civil weddings. It is a large room with splendid decoration and lots of natural daylight. This makes it suitable for large group activities or meetings, reception for 70 people, or dinners for 30 people. No matter what the set-up, the Great Central offers easy access and lots of space for your meeting needs.
Waverly Room
This purposeful function room lends itself to theatre style presentations for up to 45 people. It is well located within the centre of the hotel with great access.
It has an external doorway and is most suitable for a theatre style set-up for 50 people or to a product launch reception for 65 people. It is situated just off the grand lounge which offers easy access to the bar and restaurant facilities.
Midland Suite
This grand room lends itself to boardroom meetings for up to 12 people. With its fine mahogany panelling and beautiful wooden fireplace it creates a splendid atmosphere for its occupants.
The Midland room offers a great atmosphere and an ideal meeting location for a sensitive or private meeting. It is a grand room which looks stunning and creates an air of elegant professionalism when set-up for boardroom meetings.
The Victoria Rooms
Our Victorian meeting suite is furnished with six modern rooms of varying dimensions and capacities. They are all located together for the convenience of the occupants.
These rooms are all of a similar style and similar size except the two smaller rooms, which are ideal for a small discussion, boardrooms for 8 people or interviews.
All of the rooms are elegantly decorated and are wonderfully appointed to suit the modern conference needs.
